Marge was a tough competitor and a good hitter. In fact, she was good enough to be selected by league city sportswriters as an All-Star second basewoman in the inaugural season. She led the League in triples (11) and was the best fielding second basewoman that season. She went on to help lead the Rockford Peaches to win the 1948 Championship and set a league record by not striking out in 57 consecutive games in 1948. After six seasons, Marge called it quits on her playing career in 1948 posting a total of 317 runs, 489 hits, 256 RBIs, 37 triples, 8 home runs, and a lifetime average of .227. However, she did stay directly involved in league operations. After her playing days, serving as the team chaperone for South Bend in 1949 and 1950.
