California product, Marge Villa, started her rookie campaign with the Kenosha Comets by setting two batting records on June 9, 1946 that would never be broken. These included the most total bases (11) and the most RBIs (9). A versatile player, she took advantage of the opportunity to be on one of the touring teams that traveled to Central and South America in 1949.
After retiring she stayed active by playing golf and regularly attending AAGPBL events and reunions.
