Juanita Louise (Rowe) Roylance was born in Miami, Florida on September 10, 1923, as Juanita Louise Entrekin.  Her last name was changed to Rowe after her mother, Blanche P. Ortley, married Leonard E. Rowe.  Juanita married John Roylance in February 1943, and joined the Women's Marine Corps in November 1943.  She played for local softball teams before joining the AAGPBL in 1946 after try-outs in Pascagoula, MS.  She was divorced in 1947 and re-assumed her maiden name.  Juanita became a masseuse by 1950.  She died Dec. 11, 2001.
