Doris was 13 years old when she was the bat girl. she attended Lincoln Jr. High where she liked Gym class best of all.

As a ball player she played second base. She collected Peaches records and pictures. And loved being part of the Peaches.  In 1948 and 1949 Doris played in the CGBL for the North Town Co-Eds.
