L. A. Prescott was the Muskegon Lassies' President in 1947.  He taught school in Muskegon for eleven and a half years before becoming the successful Manager of Bennett Pumps Division of the John Wood Manufacturing Company.  He was manager of athletics at Muskegon High School and continued his interest in sports as a civic leader.  He was three-time President of the Greater Muskegon Chamber of Commerce and served as Director of the Muskegon Manufacturers Association.
