Katherine Ann [Kay Heim] McDaniel, 97, of Rosemount, MN, passed away May 11, 2015.  Celebration of life was at 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, at Church of St. Joseph, 13900 Biscayne Ave. W., Rosemount. Visitation was one hour prior to service. Interment was at Fort Snelling Natiional Cemetery.  Memorials preferred to Alzheimer’s Association and Church of St. Joseph.

[According to her Fritsch card, “Heimie” was a 1943 Canadian recruit from Edmonton, Alberta, who caught for the Kenosha Comets in 1943 and 1944.  She had a very strong arm behind the plate and a fine fielding average of .950.  She married in ’44 and did not return to the league in ’45.]
