For the third consecutive year, the top women’s baseball players from North America gathered to play in the All-American Women’s Baseball Classic. The 2024 Classic was held at the beautiful Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham North Carolina, Oct. 11-13.

The players played on four teams in honor of the first four teams in the All American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL). Former AAGPBL alumni, Jeneane Lesko, Dolly Ozburn, and Gloria Rogers were able to attend the event, support the players and greet fans. They serve as an important reminder that you need to “See Her to Be Her ,” which is also the title of a documentary by Jean Fruth set to debut on the MLB network between games 2 & 3 of the World Series. It features many of the Classic players.  Produced by Grassroots Baseball, the film trailers shown on the video board received rounds of applause throughout the tournament.

Every player on the four Classic rosters has garnered amazing individual achievements and enjoys the amazing opportunity this tournament provides to play with their peers. The players and coaches expressed great appreciation to the Durham Bulls organization and the many other sponsors who support the event and each player’s participation. The eight games featured amazing plays, great hits and stellar pitching. The Kenosha Comets defeated the Rockford Peaches to win the championship with a 3-1 record.
