Shirley played her first year with the Peoria Redwings after being persued by the league for several years. She played second base for the Redwings after spending time in spring trainning in Havana. After a fast start, Shirley broke her finger and was out of action for most of the season. She did manage to play the rest of the game before Manager Gottselig found out. Shirley likes all sports including skiing.
