Nancy also played third base in 53 & 54 for the Parakeets, the Fort Wayne Junior Daisies. She was well known for her speed at stealing bases. She was named to the Junior League All Star Team. She was very sad when the League folded. She is noted to have said: "They were the best years of my teenage experience."
