Mrs. Marguerite (Jones) Davis passed away at St. Anthony’s Home in Moose Jaw, Sask. on May 9, 1995 at the age of 77 years. (She was born Nov. 3, 1917.)

Marguerite was a warm and caring person, and she was active in the Minto United Church.

Marguerite was a veteran of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League and was a pitcher for the Minneapolis Millerettes and Rockford Peaches in 1944. She was recognized as a professional baseball player by the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York, USA, and the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame in North Battleford, Sask.

She was predeceased by her husband Gordon and a sister. She was survived by her brother, two sisters, three sons, a daughter, and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Minto United Church on May 12,1995 at 1:30 p.m. Interment took place at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Saskatchewan Alzheimer Association, Regina, Sask. were requested by the family.
