It is known, per the South Bend Tribune, that Loretta was a promising rookie catcher for the South Bend Blue Sox in 1951. Unfortunately, she broke some fingers on both hands while catching in the bull pen vs. the Fort Wayne Daisies that May. There's no further record of her playing in a regular season game in the AAGPBL or in any other league.
