Gerry was born in Ft. Wayne and graduated from North Side High School where she was very active in physical education.  She also attended Indiana University and the Fort Wayne Art School.  During the war years, Gerry was very active in the Red Cross and she worked with other service clubs.  Gerry's hobbies included riding, golfing and swimming. She also worked at a local photography studio.  She was highly recommended to the Ft. Wayne Daisies Board of Directors as chaperone for 1948 and 1949.
