We Were informed that Fern left us on March 8, 2001 at age 70. She had many friends who were with her when she left us. We share their loss as yet another of our group bids us farewell.
Fern played in 1950 with the Chicago Coleens and the Springfield Sallies Touring Teams. In 1951, she returned to her home in Chicago.
Fern "Miss B" Battaglia, age 70, passed into eternity March 8, 2001. She was a retired Chicago Public School playground teacher and a member of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League. She was cherished by many dear friends, and will live forever in our hearts. Cremation private.
