Fayetta was 12 years old when she served as a bat girl for the Peaches in 1953.

Fayetta R. (McGuire) Helser, 76, of Montgomery passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018, in Adventist LaGrange, Illinois Memorial Hospital. Born March 6, 1941, in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Richard and Betty (Burick) McGuire.

Graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1959. Married Charles Helser on October 2, 1961. Retired from Process Plastics.

She was a collegiate in the Women of the Moose and was a bat girl for the Rockford Peaches in 1953.

Survivors include: her husband, Charles; sons, Matt (Jill) Helser and Marc Helser; grandchildren, Chloe Helser and Noah Helser; brother, Rick (Linda) McGuire; several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents.

Graveside service on Saturday, February 10, 2018, in Harlem Cemetery, Loves Park.
