Betty DeckerHistory

Betty came to the AAGPBL from the NGBL in Chicago and she was a strong fielding third baseman. She was a steady hitter and when she was traded to the Daisies that gave Coach Allington the chance to use Katie Hortsman more as a pitcher.

Betty Ann Wanless Decker, 67, of Williamsburg, Mich., formerly of Springfield, died Dec. 20, 1995, at her residence in Williamsburg. Remains were cremated. Services were Dec. 22 at Wolfe Funeral Home in Kalkaska, Mich.
