Chicago Sports Spectacular Was a Hit!

The weekend of November 23rd-24th the AAGPBL traveled to the Chicago Sports Spectacular in Rosemont, IL. Four AAGPBL players, Dolly (Vanderlip) Ozburn, Jeneane (DesCombes) Lesko, Mary Moore and Maybelle Blair, were in attendance for autographs and photo opportunities through the All American Girls Professional Baseball League Players Association. AAGPBL merchandise was also for sale. The highlight of the event took place on Sunday November 24th when the four players and associates in attendance had time with the cast from A League of Their Own. In attendance from the movie were eleven of the actresses which included, Bitty Schram "Evelyn Gardner", Tracy Reiner "Betty Horn'" aka "Betty Spaghetti", Anne Ramsay "Helen Haley", Patti Pelton "Marbleann Wilkinson", Kelli Simpkins "Beverly Dixon", Connie Pounds Taylor "Connie Calhoun", Freddie Simpson "Ellen Sue Gotlander", Lori Petty "Kit Keller", Geena Davis "Dottie Hinson", Rosie O'Donnell "Doris Murphy", Megan Cavanagh "Marla Hooch".
