AAGPBL Board Vice President, Carol Sheldon

AAGPBL Board Vice President, Carol Sheldon resides near Detroit, Michigan and studied at Western Michigan University and Michigan State University.  She taught for 33 years, coached for 39 years, and served as a State of Michigan Official for 50+ years.  Her undergraduate years included playing intercollegiate basketball, field hockey, track, golf, and softball.  She’s played major softball her whole life, including as a senior athlete.  She was inducted into the USSSSA Michigan Hall of Fame, and as a 43-year-old she took up playing baseball in the Great Lakes League.  In 2003, she was inducted into the National Women’s Baseball Hall of Fame, and in 2012, she traveled to Hong Kong to play baseball in the Phoenix Cup.  Carol has been an Associate Member of the AAGPBL Players Assoc. since 1992, and she chairs the Public Relations and Archives and Memorabilia Committees and helps coordinate the AAGPBL Facebook page and website.
