Thelma "Tiby" Eisen has Passed on at age 92

Tiby EisenAnother of the great gals who joined the league with the California gals has left us. Tiby played in the league from 1944 through 1952. Her history included being named to the All Star Team (1946), Fort Wayne Daisies (1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952), Grand Rapids Chicks (1945), Milwaukee Chicks (1944), and Peoria Redwings (1946, 1947). She was a starter in every game and averaged over 400 trips to the batter's box every year she played. She was a steady player in the outfield and a consistent hitter thru-out her baseball career.

Tiby quietly passed away on May 11, 2014 on her 92nd birthday. She was a member of the Jewish Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. She was also with the Native Daughters. She loved people and life. She always lived life to its fullest and was a very positive person. She will be greatly missed by her family, her friends and her teammaates.

She lived in Santa Monica, Palm Springs, and Pacific Palisades, CA for her 92 years. No services were held as she was cremated. Condolences: please email goldwingrider08@yahoo.com
