Batter Up Writers’ Contest Winners!

We’re pleased to announce the winner and four runners-up of the first AAGPBL Batter Up Writers’ Contest.

Winner: Kameron Teague of Calico Rock, Arkansas.
Kameron wrote a personal essay about the AAGPBL player she wishes she could meet, Dorothy Kamenshek. Kameron will get to meet many of Dorothy’s friends and teammates at the annual reunion in Syracuse, New York, this September.

Runners-Up:

Each Runner-Up will receive an AAGPBL prize pack, including a ball and bat autographed by players and other league merchandise. If their entry forms included contact information for a teacher-sponsor, the teacher will receive a DVD of the film, A League of Their Own, and two age-appropriate books about the AAGPBL.
