Genevieve "Gene" VisichGenevieve Felice (nee Castaldo), of Township of Washington, NJ on Monday, May 7, 2012. She was born in Mount Vernon, NY and lived in Township of Washington, NJ for many years. She was a part of The All American Girls Professional Baseball League, (AAGPBL). Gene, a first baseman/outfielder for the Rockford Peaches, considered it an honor to have been a member of both the Peaches and AAGPBL. Genevieve was Honored in 1993 as Female Athlete of the Year by the local March of Dimes. Her name was enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York on November 5, 1988. 

Beloved wife of the late Edward T. Visich Sr., for 58 years. Devoted mother of Stephen Visich of Township of Washington, NJ; Kathryn Watt and her husband Brad of Huntington Beach, CA; Edward T. Visich, Jr. of Park Ridge, NJ; the late Andrea Coumbe and her husband Tim of Westfield, NJ; Robert Visich and his wife Tammy of Westwood, NJ; Peter Visich. Dear sister of Francine Buccola and her husband Charlie of Valley Stream, NY, and the late Ralph Castaldo. Cherished grandmother of Justin, Andrew, and Daniel Watt; Ryan and Jenna Visich. Loving aunt of Christa and Carlie Buccola.

Funeral Liturgy at Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Township of Washington, NJ on Friday at 10 AM. Interment, George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. The family will receive their friends at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, West-wood, NJ on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial gifts to AAGPBL or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Research would be appreciated.
