Lillian Jackson, 84, of Green Valley passed away on Oct. 30, 2003, at Carondelet - St. Mary's Hospice in Tucson.

She was born and raised in Nashville, Tenn., and was one of the original members of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League from 1943 through 1945. She then moved to Chicago and played in the National Girls Baseball League for several years.

Following her ball-playing days, she worked in the Advertising Department of Sunbeam Corp. in Chicago for over 30 years.
Lillian retired to Green Valley in 1989. She is survived by her sister, several nieces and nephews, and many loving friends.
